Charter Construction
Charter Construction is a Pacific Northwest construction and restoration firm. Peter took controlling interest in 2008, sixty days before the 2008 recession eliminated hundreds of millions of dollars in industry wide construction backlog. He kept the company intact through the downturn and, as CEO and Chairman, scaled it to nine figure revenue and 220 employees across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. Charter restructured as an employee stock ownership plan in 2016 and sold to American Restoration Operations in 2022, making many Charter employees millionaires.
Nuuvera
Nuuvera was an international medical cannabis company operating across Germany, Italy, Spain, Malta, and Lesotho. The company sold to Aphria in 2018 in a deal valued at $826 million. Peter was a founding inner circle investor, and Marcus participated alongside him.
EMMAC Life Sciences
EMMAC Life Sciences grew into Europe’s largest independent medical cannabis company before its 2021 sale to Curaleaf in a deal valued at $286 million. Peter was a founding inner circle investor. Marcus participated alongside Peter as an investor in the company.
JUJU Joints
JUJU Joints was one of the first disposable cannabis oil vaporizers in the world. Marcus co-founded the company in late 2012 with Rick Stevens. The product reached dispensaries in Washington, Oregon, Nevada, California, and Canada before Canopy Growth, the largest cannabis company in the world at the time, acquired the company. JUJU Joints was the largest vaporizer in Canada, selling hundreds of thousands of units per month. Peter was the largest single investor in JUJU Joints.
The Crocodile
The Crocodile is a Belltown music venue. Marcus led the investor group that purchased and reopened it in March 2009, serving as general partner through its first years back in operation before transitioning to a limited partner role as new management took over day to day operations. In 2020, Marcus sourced the venue’s current building at 2505 1st Avenue and negotiated the lease ahead of the 2021 relocation and expansion. In 2026, the venue entered court supervised receivership by its new management, and ownership passed to an ownership group from out of state. Marcus’s direct involvement in that process now informs his advisory work with founders in transition and with creditor controlled businesses.
Capitol Hill Block Party & Marymoor Live
Capitol Hill Block Party grew from a neighborhood party into one of Seattle’s signature summer festivals under Marcus, who sold his share in 2011. In 2012, he co-founded Seattle Event Solutions, now Marymoor Live. Under his leadership, Seattle Event Solutions displaced AEG Live as promoter of record at the property in late 2022, in addition to serving as its concessionaire.
Seed Innovations Limited
Seed Innovations Limited is a publicly traded company recently reorganized around artificial intelligence and robotics, following an earlier merger and exit that built a vertically integrated medicinal cannabis business spanning Australia and Europe. Peter is the second largest equity holder, behind James Mellon. Marcus participates alongside him.
BMF WA
BMF WA was Peter’s holding company and the first successful investor to navigate Washington’s cannabis statutes to transfer its profits to an out of state group at a premium. JUJU Joints was a licensed brand of BMF until its sale to Canopy Growth.
South Fork
Business Park
South Fork Business Park, founded by Peter in 2014, leases facilities at the Port of Willapa Harbor to cannabis related tenants and remains in operation today. Marcus helps facilitate this operation.
Private Capital
Peter actively loans capital to private companies and individuals across construction and cannabis, operating this lending activity as a standalone business. Marcus helps facilitate this activity.
Private Development
Peter has developed dozens of real estate sites across the region, both within and outside of Charter Construction, and continues to hold many of these properties in his personal portfolio. Marcus helps facilitate this activity.

Hospitality
Over two decades, Marcus built and ran a string of Seattle venues, including Local 360, Marcus’ Martini Heaven, the bad juju lounge, Neumos, Spitfire, and the relaunch of The Crocodile, exiting the industry with seven figures along the way.
